Sumpu
Takumi Shuku is a traditional craft and history
center where you can experience Shizuoka's culture.
There are various workshop areas where you can make
your own tradirional craft work and there is the
"Sumpu Kougei-Kan" with a 250 inch large screen
where you can have fun learning about Shizuoka's
crafts and history. You can also purchase local
delicacies and souvenirs here.
At the "Omoshiro Taiken-Kan" annex (opening in
April 2000), you can also have fun leaning and
experiencing the history of the Mariko area in the
"Tokaudo Rekishi Taiken Hall".
Location/Mariko Transpotation/By bus from Shizuoka Station
30 minutes on the Chubu Kokudo line, get off at
Togeppo Iriguchi and walk 5 minutes. Open/9:00-17:00 (close at 18:00 from July 20
until August 31st.)
